Privacy policy

Islam Quiz is a trivia game you play without an account. This policy explains what the app stores about you, why, where, for how long, and how you delete it. It is short because we keep little.
Who we are
Islam Quiz is made by [FULL NAME], [COUNTRY]. For anything about your data, write to support@islamquiz.online.
What we store
- A player ID and a secret. The app creates both on your phone the first time you open it. The secret never leaves your phone in readable form: our server keeps only a one-way hash of it, which proves the player ID is yours.
- Your nickname, if you choose one. It is shown to other players on the leaderboard. Please don't use your real name.
- Your game: your Stars, your Level, your best climb, the revives you used, and for the climb in progress which questions you have seen, your lives and streak, and when the current question was shown, so the server can check your answer and the timer.
- Questions you flag, with the reason you pick and the note you write, if any.
- Nicknames you report from the leaderboard.
We do not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts or photos. The app has no ads, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party software that collects data.
Why we store it
- To run the game you ask to play: checking answers, keeping your Stars and Level, and showing the leaderboard.
- To fix questions that players flag as wrong or unclear.
- To keep the leaderboard free of offensive nicknames.
We rely on providing the service you ask for and on our legitimate interest in a fair, respectful leaderboard. We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Where it is kept
The data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, on servers in the European Union (Ireland). Supabase processes it for us and for no other purpose. Like any service on the internet, Supabase sees your device's IP address when the app connects and may keep it in technical logs for a short time to run and secure the service; we do not store it in our database.
How long we keep it
As long as you play, until you delete it. When you delete your data, your player ID, nickname, game, flags and reports are removed from our database. A note from a flag we already used to correct a question may stay in our list of questions, without your nickname or player ID.
Deleting your data
In the app, open the leaderboard (the trophy) and tap Delete my data. Everything above is deleted at once and you start again as a new player. You can also write to support@islamquiz.online with your nickname.
Your rights
You may ask what we store about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to how we use it, by writing to support@islamquiz.online. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
Islam Quiz is for everyone and does not ask for personal details. A parent who wants a child's data removed can use Delete my data in the app or write to us.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top.
